Colour Palette Ideas

Solution
I created new brand guidelines which includes a logo graphic with two layout variations, colour palette and typefaces. I designed some associated brand assets to carry the logo concept through into the brand, which could also be reused for brand recognition. I amended a typeface to create a unique version for the company name, values and for additional marketing materials.
Thoughts
This was a unique project for me as I haven’t designed a brand since university. Finding the balance between standing out, yet still representing part of the industry, was difficult at first to get to grips with. I found it interesting that the final design was based on a particular phrase that was used in the initial briefing and was a play on words, rather than being more focused on imagery associated with the company’s industry. Altering a typeface to create a unique version was fun. It meant that was able to complete the concept for the logo which would not have been possible using the original typeface. I wanted to give the brand a unique and bold character by making the colour palette quite extreme but this is balanced by the application of it makes it more natural.
